Today I want to give you a quick tip for caring for your fiddle leaf fig in the winter. In the winter months, it can get really dry, and your plant can get a little damaged by the heater if it’s running all the time.
So to protect your plant, I recommend grouping your houseplants into one area, as you’ll see in the video. Read more about how to care for your fiddle leaf fig in the winter below.

So what I’ve done is I’ve grouped all my houseplants together, and that can adjust the humidity, keeping it more humid, and also keep the temperature more of the same. I also have a small cool-mist humidifier running to keep all of these plants more humid because the heater can get them really dry.
Next in the video you’ll see I have a larger fiddle leaf fig, and his name is Bruiser. I got him when he only had three leaves, and look how big he is now! You’ll also see I have a pothos, an areca palm, a philodendron, and there’s a prayer plant in there.
Grouping these plants together can help protect your plants, and running a humidifier can help with humidity. You also want to be careful to water a little bit less in the winter because although the air is very dry and the leaves can dry out, the soil takes longer to dry out. A lot of people tend to overwater their plants in the water, but the soil takes a long time to dry because there’s less light and it’s cooler.
So during the drier winter months, it’s important to cut back on the water that you give your plant (and therefore you plant’s soil), and increase the humidity if you can. So that’s just a quick tip how to care for your fiddle leaf fig in the winter to protect your fiddle leaf fig in the dry winter months
